Laser-Professionals, Inc. High School Senior Award

Laser-Professionals Inc. is pleased to offer an annual scholarship of $2250 to be awarded to a Moloka'i High School graduating senior who is planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university in the coming year. The successful recipient must be a first-generation college-going student.


The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and promote the pursuit of higher education among first-generation students of Moloka'i families whose financial resources are limited.


Selection will be based on the student’s scholastic achievement, financial need, academic potential, and motivation.


Requirements:



  1. Scholarship applicant must provide official high school transcripts confirming an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.


  2. Applicant must submit two letters of recommendation from high school teachers or counselors.


  3. Applicant must submit a completed application form and a two-page essay discussing educational interests and plans, high school activities, and community service.


  4. Applicant must have applied to and have met the qualifications for admission to a four-year US college or university.


  5. Applicant must be in need of financial assistance as verified by his/her family’s federal income tax returns.





The scholarship will be in the form of a certificate of award conditional on the enrollment of the winner in an accredited US college or university. The scholarship is non-renewable.
